About Hypnotherapy
How does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by changing the deep-rooted beliefs that you hold in your sub-conscious mind. Your trained hypnotherapist helps you to reframe past events that may have negative emotions or thoughts attached to them, in order to develop positive thought and behavioural patterns.
Hypnotherapy and NLP
Hypnotherapy is commonly supported by Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). The reason for this is that the two methods work well together, in combination they enhance the outcomes and you can expect to achieve lasting change more quickly and effectively.
Can everyone achieve hypnosis?
In order to achieve a hypnotic state, and therefore be receptive to the work of your hypnotherapist, all you need is an open mind and a wish to change your current state of mind.
With trust in your hypnotherapist, and the process, the results you desire will follow.
Treatment tailored for you
Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy and no two treatments are the same. Working with you, I help you reach a deeply relaxed state. This is called a hypnotic trance. Whilst you are in that trance, I guide you to explore the deep-rooted feelings and beliefs that underpin the conscious behaviours you want to change.
The aim is for you to replace negative thought patterns or harmful habits and develop positive, helpful sub-conscious beliefs. This, in turn, helps you to move forwards to a fulfilling and happy life.
Working with the right hypnotherapist for you is fundamental to the success of your treatment and is why I always offer a FREE initial consultation.
“Just finished my course of three sessions with Paul and I feel fantastic! He has presented to me a new way of living my life that has empowered me to make intentional choices that I felt powerless to make most off my adult life. Time will tell what the results will be but from this day I feel so much more liberated. “

How many sessions will you need?
The number of sessions you need very much depends on the nature of the issues we are working on.
Tackling issues like pain management or smoking cessation often only require one or two sessions. Other, more deep rooted issues will take longer to unpick and resolve.
At your free, initial consultation, we will discuss how your likely treatment path will look, including the number and frequency of your sessions.
As a rule of thumb, and to achieve lasting results, I would ask you to plan for a minimum of three sessions initially.
